Steve Sopko, Former Customer Service Manager, EDAX

Steve joined EDAX in August of 2011. He has organized and ran service organizations on a national scale for 20 years. Steve began his career working for Diebold in the banking security field after obtaining a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Currently, he is the Customer Service Manager for the Americas with EDAX, working out of Mahwah, NJ. Steve joined EDAX relocating his family from Michigan. He oversees the delivery of service and installations for the EDAX service group.

Steve has been married for 31 years to his wife, Lesley.  They have five children, Erica (30) with grandchild Kaleb, Kyle (28), who lives in Michigan, Bryce (26), recently graduated from Limestone University, Brennan (22) attending school and plays lacrosse, and Caulen, a high school junior that plays lacrosse, tennis, and enjoys business classes and marketing as a member of DECA. The couple also has Grizz, a 135 lb Bullmastiff that keeps them all active.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys hiking with Grizz in the New Jersey trails. Before leaving Michigan, he had been a high school lacrosse coach building a program from 14 players to over 100 at the high school level in eight years. Steve has coached wrestling, basketball, soccer, and taught martial arts for a number of years, focusing mainly on kids. He feels that there is nothing better than developing a young athlete into believing in himself, getting more out of himself than he thought possible, and learning the workings of an affective team. Steve has been successful in helping over two dozen high school athletes prepare and play at the collegiate level in various sports.
