Mike Coy received a BS and an MS in ceramic engineering from the NYS College of Ceramics at Alfred University.  He started his career in academia as a Research Scientist at Texas A&M University and then as a Facility Manager at Northwestern University, before moving into industry, where he worked for JEOL USA and FEI in the area of field emission applications. Mike then moved to Agilent Technologies, where he worked as a product manager in their vacuum products division for 7 years.  Mike jointed EDAX in October 2011 as Microanalysis Product Manager and became Global Marketing Manager in 2013.
