René Jansen, Regional Manager EDAX EMEA

René JansenRené has been working as Regional Manager EMEA since 2011. He is responsible for sales and service in this region with two offices (Tilburg and Wiesbaden) and 10 employees (4 sales, 5 service and office manager).

In addition to his sales role in EDAX, René Jansen has been appointed AMETEK Country General Manager APIE Netherlands since January 2012.

René has a BSc in Electro-Technology and a BSc in Business-Economics & Technology and he has focused his career on Marketing and Sales. The first challenge in his current role was to structure the European organization, increase the professionalism in the team and to improve the overall communication.

The results of his first three years include a more European service operation lead by a service coordinator and a more professional distribution management lead by a Sales Manager for indirect channels. Now the short term focus is to improve our service performance by offering our customers higher quality and uptime of their analysis tools with a Service Maintenance contract and upgrade options to the latest technology.

René has been married for 20 years to his wife, Hendrine and has two sons, Rick (18) and Ralph (15). Hendrine is working part time for an international publishing company for management books, Ralph is still a high school junior while Rick is finishing high school and will study Mechatronics in Eindhoven next year. Rick enjoys bike racing and Ralph plays tennis. In his free time René likes to enjoy life with family and friends, he follows a wine course to improve his knowledge of wine tasting and challenges himself a couple of hours per week on a spinning bike.
