Dr. Oleg Lourie is the Director of Product Management/SEM for EDAX and Gatan, based in the Pleasanton, CA office. Previously, Oleg was the Sr. Product Manager for Microanalysis working with EDS and WDS technologies. He started his career in microanalysis primarily with TEM based analytical techniques and over the course of his 15 years work in electron microscopy field he has developed additional analytical instrumentation and methods for the design and characterization of nanomaterials.

Oleg holds a PhD degree in Chemistry and Materials Science, and has extended experience in the design of new instrumentation for electron microscopy, probe microscopy and optical spectroscopy.
